Bollywood’s Beauty Guru Shares Beauty Skin Tips
The holiday season is one of the most memorable times of the year. The cool season is a time for Christmas vibes, socks, sweaters, and lots of presents. One of the few times when the holiday season, and by extension, winter becomes unpleasant s when t comes with harsh, cold winds. Failure to moisturise your skin in this period means you will quickly lose moisture in your skin’s upper layers. To stop your skin from drying out quickly, follow the beauty skincare tips below. Mind you, your skin and makeup look good when it is moisturised and hydrated.
Get yourself a quality humidifier
When it comes to getting radiant skin, having a humidifier is always a good investment. A humidifier increases the moisture levels in the air. Not only does it increases the moisture levels, but it also helps to hydrate your skin. The most appropriate time to use the humidifier is at night. Put it on before you sleep, and leave it on all through the night. Do this consistently, and your skin will thank you for it.
Be Mindful of your bathing procedure
Avoid bathing with hot water. Beauty experts and dermatologists have said hot water is the enemy of having radiant skin. Hot water strips your skin of its natural oils and dries it out. Rather than go for piping hot water, go for lukewarm. In addition, stop using soaps and products with SLS and parabens as they can damage your skin. Finally, when drying your body with your towel, always pat your skin dry rather than rub it. This method helps to keep your skin moisturised and damp.
Exfoliate
One way to get healthy skin is to exfoliate. This allows you to remove any remnant of dead skin cells. To achieve this, use a chemical exfoliator or scrubber. For chemical exfoliation, use a cotton pad to apply lactic or glycolic acid. If you are using a scrubber, be gentle on your skin. The rule of thumb is to exfoliate the skin at least once a week. Avoid over-exfoliating your skin to prevent skin irritation. One of the benefits of exfoliation is that it makes it easier for skincare products to do their work.
Use a lip balm
Cracked lips are indicative that your skin lacks moisture. First, exfoliate your lips with a scrub, then apply lip balm. Go for lip moisturising products that contain Vitamin E, lanolin, beeswax, shea butter, cocoa butter, and so on.
The aforementioned tips will help you maintain radiant skin. Follow them religiously, and you will see a dynamic change in your skin.
